It has rained and rained here in Boston over the last 6 weeks. Tonight we had the fifth or sixth thunder storm roll through since I've moved in with my friends. Not everything is bad, as the posting title implies. All is fine for now with my living situation and my friends and I made sure we worked everything out with the dog and so forth... But the dream job I had interviewed for in NYC called me today to tell me it was a no go because I had too much front-end programming experience and not enough back-end. Irony is, it's the opposite. I'm still trying to ferret out the details at how this particular manager arrived at this conclusion about me, but bottom line is, I'm still going to have to find a damn job.
Sorry to hear about the job. I sense your growing desperation to get back to NYC (not that I have to exactly be a sensitive instrument to do so)!
I'd say more but there's nothing I can say that seems in any way meaningful anymore... about anything, to anyone. Tired tired tired here in the North.

Thanks Chris. I really, really should never complain about winter in your presence either. I know how rough it must be for you up there in Alaska. But I gotta hand it to you, you're a survivor!
